A study on Factors Associated with Job Satisfaction of Make-up Artists

Abstract

|
The purpose of this study is to improve the job satisfaction of make-up artists and their welfare. This study was conducted to examine th job satisfaction of 199 make-up artists in Daegu. Data were collected from August 15, 2000 to September 15, 2000. The data were analyzed by SPSS package. The results of this study are summarized as follows. 1. In the case of consideration of living the job by age, there is a difference in other of above thirty years old, twenty five years old to twenty nine years old, twenty one years old to twenty four years old, and below twenty years old. According to the difference in marital status, married persons are higher than unmarried persons in the factors of job satisfaction, working condition´s, pride, and consideration of living the job. The persons who are religious are higher than those who are irreligious in the factor of expectation of promotion 2. According to satisfaction level by types of shops, total wedding shops were highest(3.88), while dress shops were lowest(3.30). Make-up schools and cosmetics shops were 3.82 points and wedding halls were 3.57 points. Among the levels of pride, total wedding shops were highest(3,76), while dress shops were lowest(3.48). Make-up schools and cosmetics shops were 3.89 points and wedding hails were 3.48 points. 3. The total satisfaction level was influenced by the variables of expectation of promotion(0.477), working condition(0.436), and pride(0.444). The total satisfaction level showed positive correlation with the variables.
